The Director of University Hospital in Bucharest, Adriana Nica, said on Sunday, following a recent control revealing that two medical offices have not cleaned with disinfectants, that the head nurses of the two units did not manage the situation in the right way, although the hospital had the needed products. She added that the responsible personnel have been sanctioned by RON 500.
Director Nica said that during January 1-August 1, the hospital reported over 570 nosocomial infections, out of the 30,000 patient treated, hotnews.ro reports.
A recent control at the University Hospital found out that two cabinets were not being disinfected with proper disinfectants.
“The hospital is properly supplied with disinfectants. It was the case of only two medical offices. They did not manage the situation, although disinfectants were available in the hospital,” the Director said.
