Serious road accident in Italy. Eight Romanians injured as bus overturns

Eight people were injured after a bus owned by the Romanian company Atlasib, which was carrying 36 passengers, has overturned on the A4 motorway after hitting a vehicle belonging to the Civil Protection, Udine Today newspaper’s website informs.

The serious road accident occurred near the town of Trieste, near Italy’s border with Slovenia. The bus was travelling from France to Romania.

Following the collision with the Italian Civil Protection’s vehicle, the Atlasib bus went off the highway and overturned.

Aboard the bus there were 36 people, including the driver. The intervention teams arrived at the site.

Eight people were injured, one of them was admitted to the Hospital Santa Maria dela Misericordia in Udine.

Other injured were transported to hospitals in the towns of Latisana and Palmanova.

The remaining passengers were taken over by another Atlasib bus sent from Padua.
