Seven trains cancelled Thursday morning due to frost
Seven trains have been cancelled Thursday morning due to very low temperatures, according to a press release from the CFR – Romanian Railways.
The routes affected were: Regio Galați — București Nord (11072), Tulcea — Medgidia (8652), Roșiori Nord — Alexandria (9363), Sighișoara — Odorhei (3542), Odorhei — Cristur Hm (3541) and Beia Hm — Sibiu (2564—1) and InterRegio Târgoviște — Titu (1880).
“Today, January 21, rail traffic is still carried out in winter conditions, at low temperatures. Some trains register delays on arrival / departure. For today, until now, we have decided the cancellation of trains to adapt to the actual possibilities of railway traffic and the passenger traffic will be taken, if possible, by other trains,” CFR informs.
According to the company, the cancellations are needed due to freezing temperatures and involve mainly Desiro trains (Blue Arrow), which are more exposed to technical problems.
