Several Romanians blocked in Madrid after Tarom flight call-off, eventually shipped to Iasi
Another airport incident involving Romanian tourists occurred in Madrid when a Tarom flight has nee called off due to technical reasons.
Although the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) announced the Romanian tourists blocked on the airport in Madrid have been accommodated at the hotels nearby thr airport, the ministry eventually informed they had been shipped in a plane to Iasi.
“Following actions taken by Romania’s embassy in Madrid, the TAROM representatives confirmed the situation had been remedied and the passengers had been taken aboard a plane to Iasi,” MAE said in a press release.
TAROM said the initial flight had been cancelled due to technical problems.
A similar incident took place last weekend in Lisbon, where tens of Romanian tourists had been stuck in the airport after a TAP Portugal flight had been called off.
PM Tudose has recalled Romanian consul to Portugal, Alina Oana Dociu, over this situation, reproaching her she hadn’t properly managed the case.
