A new warning comes from the meteorologists, for bad weather, starting Monday afternoon to be in force until Wednesday afternoon for almost all the country. Winds are expected to reach 45-55 km/h and blizzards are expected in Transylvania and Moldavia.
On Wednesday the wind gusts will reach in southern and central regions speeds of 50-65 km/h.
Snowfall mainly on Wednesday in western and north-western regions, accompanied by mixed precipitations that would favour glazed frost.
Snowfalls will become extensive on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday in Western Carpathians, Southern Carpathians and the northern part of Eastern Carpathians, accompanied by winds of up to 100-120 km/h, leading to low visibility.
On Sunday, 12 counties in northern and western Romania were placed under Code Yellow warning for snowfall and blizzard Monday at 14.00h.
The National Meteorology Administration (ANM) informed on Sunday that as of the second part of the night of Sunday to Monday and on Monday, in the Apuseni Mountains and northern Eastern Carpathians and on the high areas of Southern Carpathians snowfalls will be registered leading to a consistent snow layer.
