Snowfalls expected in Bucharest, Muntenia, western Dobruja. Code yellow alert for fog in 6 counties
Meteorologists announced that temperatures will slightly drop during the weekend, from 9-10C to 1-04C. Snowfalls are expected on Sunday in Muntenia, western Dobruja and Bucharest. The snow pack will reach 5-10cm in Muntenia and Dobruja and 3-5cm in the Capital.
There will be 0C in northern Moldavia and up to 8-9C in the south on Saturday. Snowfalls will extend to the south and southeast, great part of Oltenia, Muntenia, Dorbuja and southern Moldavia as of Sunday. Snowfalls will prevail in the central and southern part of Muntenia, western Dobruja, with the snow pack ranging from 5 to 10cm. In Bucharest a snow pack of 3-5cm is expected. However, the snowfalls will not stay too long here. Temperatures will also fall in Bucharest, to 2-3C.
Wind will reach 45-55kmph in south and southeast, exceeding 60kmph on the seaside.
Code yellow alert for fog in 6 counties
At the same time the National Meteorology Administration has issued a code yellow alert for fog in six counties in southern country: Olt, Vâlcea, Dolj, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Călăraşi. Visibility is low below 200m.
