The 60-old-year man from Constanta admitted to “Matei Bals” Hospital in Bucharest on Thursday with Ebola suspicion has malaria, Health Ministry informed on Friday. According to the quoted source, he is in critical condition, but yet stable and has been moved to “Victor Babes” infectious diseases hospital.
The man, recently returned from Nigeria, was not feeling well, suffering from high fever when he was taken to Bucharest. Constanta Hospital diagnosed him with malaria in the first instance, too, but further lab tests were needed, so the local doctors decided to transfer him to a Bucharest special hospital.
