A 33-year-old man from Galati who retuned from Guinea on October 18 was hurried to Victor Babes Hospital in Bucharest for further check-ups after he complained of flu symptoms. Guinea is one of the three West African countries seriously affected by Ebola outbreak.

“It is a patient who was diagnosed with Malaria when he came back from Guinea. He discharged on his own account back then and went to his native town, in Galati. He felt sick again and he says it’s not Malaria anymore, as he underwent eight stages of the disease and knows its symptoms. Now he claims he has flu and Ebola has flu-like symptoms. We are taking him to Bucharest at Victor Babes, hospital for infectious diseases, to have a certain diagnosis”, the Galati ambulance nurse told Agerpres.

The ambulance team was wearing special protection costumes.

The man is been working in constructions field and he seemed to get in contact only with his parents since he returned home in Galati.
