The rankings of the most polluted cities in the world in 2018 reads that 22 cities from Romania are included in the survey and Bucharest is not in top 3.

The survey reads that the most polluted localities in Romania are Bosia, Resita, Buchin and Arad. Bucharest ranks fifth. Bucharest is on the 680th position out of the 3,000 cities worldwide under analysis.

Pollution in Romania is considered ‘moderate’ by airvisual.com quoted by digi24.ro and is on the 37th position worldwide.

The world ranking reads that the most polluted localities are in India, China and Pakistan. Each year some 6.5 million people die due to causes related to pollution, and 25,000 of them die in Romania.
