Spain is on the list of yellow countries as of August 11, according to an update released by the National Public Health Institute (INSP). So, all citizens entering Romania and returning from Spain, regardless of their nationality will enter in self-isolation for 14 days.

“A person is quarantined at her/his home, at a location declared by the person or, if the case, in a special location designated by the authorities. Quarantine is recommended to all people living at the same address”, says the INSP press release.

To establish the list of the so-called yellow states where quarantine/isolation is required the main criteria is  that the cumulative incidence rate of new infections in the past 14 days reported to 100,000 inhabitants has to be higher then the one registered in Romania during the same period of time.

The list is updated on a weekly basis, every Monday.

Spain had 89.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
