SRI: Tunisian citizen, declared undesirable by the Bucharest Court of Appeals for Jihadist propaganda

A Tunisian citizen was declared, on Wednesday, by the Bucharest Court of Appeals, an undesirable person for Romania, at the Romanian Intelligence Service’s (SRI) referral, after being observed for behaviour specific to a person adhering to the jihadist ideology, SRI has announced.

According to a SRI press release, by verdict 2903/2018 on Wednesday, the Bucharest Court of Appeals ordered the Tunisian citizen BHA a 15-year period as undesirable for Romania, jurnalistii.ro informs.

“BHA arrived to Romania as a student in 2015 after obtaining visa for studies. He came to the attention of the Romanian Intelligence Service in the first part of 2018, amid information that he was undergoing religious radicalization process. He has been characterized by behaviour specific to a person adept at the jihadist ideology, with strong isolation tendencies and intense activity in radical online environments. The Tunisian citizen’s constant preoccupations for terrorist propaganda on specialized websites and the glorification of the Daesh members attacks confirmed BHA’s readiness to commit violent actions either in Romania, or after moving to Jihadist theatres of operations,” the press release reads.

This source indicates that BHA allegedly has identified himself with the authors of terrorist attacks in Europe, registered during 2015-2018.
