Prime Minister Victor Ponta appointed Ion Aurel Stanciu, State Secretary in the Ministry of Transport (MT), after he resigned as general manager of ROMATSA, according to a decision published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday.

Another decision published in OG relates Marius Humelnicu’s appointment as State Secretary in the same ministry, while Virgil Dragos Titea is released as Secretary of State of MT.

This appointment comes amid the announcement made on Monday by ROMATSA unionists that they will trigger a general strike on September 1, at 11 AM, if the authorities will not resolve the issues faced by employees.

ROMATSA employees complained that the GM Aurel Stanciu did not comply with anything that unions have agreed in writing with the MT.
