For Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, meteorologists issued a code yellow alert of heat and thermal discomfort, which will affect the whole country. On Wednesday (June 23), there will be heatwave in Banat, Crișana, Oltenia, Maramureș and in western and northwestern Transylvania, and on Thursday and Friday (June 24 and 25) in all regions.

Thermal highs will generally be between 33 and 37 degrees, and locally night lows will not fall below 20 degrees (tropical nights). Especially in the eastern and south-eastern regions, on hills and mountains, especially in the afternoon and evening, atmospheric instability will intensify and torrential downpours, frequent electrical discharges, short-term wind gusts, storms and downpours, and also hail will be reported.
