The first national cyber security exercise organized in Romania
The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) is hosting a national cyber security exercise, which is a first in Romania. Over 60 public and private institutions are attending the exercise next week, during May 15-17.
According to SRI, there will be a live national cyber security exercise aiming at raising awareness on the Romanian institutions’ training level in case of an event that might affect the cyber space countrywide.
Therefore, 60 state and private institutions will test their response actions to cyber attacks.
“CyDEx17 will be held within the cyber range of the Cybering National Cente, made and especially customized for this exercise. The exercise is meant to test and assess the way of managing the cyber incidents, the institutions’ response at operational level, tactically and strategically, while aiming at providing a proper security level across the cyber infrastructures and at optimizing the cooperation among institutions in order to identify and restrict the impact of such incidents,” says a SRI press release.
CyDEx17 exercise is organized in compliance with Romania’s Cyber Security Strategy in partnership with the national defense ministries and institutions, MApN, MAI, MAE, STS, SPP, SIE, ORNISS and CERT-RO.
