The passengers of the international train from Cluj-Napoca to Vienna have been evacuated on Thursday morning after the locomotive had caught on fire immediately after the train had left the station. The locomotive was disengaged and the wagons turned back to the railway station in Cluj.

There have been no injured people, while the firemen called on the scene have extinguished the flames right away.

Investigators are to establish the causes of the fire.

The train was attached to a new locomotive in order to continue its ride to the Austrian capital.

It is the second fire on the railway station in this area after on Sunday the locomotive of another passenger train had caught on fire in a railway station in Cluj.
