The Romanians who died in Halkidiki were from Cluj-Napoca

The two Romanian citizens who died in the storm in Halkidiki, a mother and her 8-year-old son, were from Cluj-Napoca, judiciary sources told local media. The boy’s father is injured, currently admitted in the hospital.

Romanian FM Teodor Melescanu has announced that the father will be discharged from hospital today and the that the death certificates of the mother and son would be released soon so that they could be repatriated.

The father will be discharged from hospital now. The Consulate is in touch with the family in Romania to carry out formalities with the death certificates, the family had medical insurance. For the time being we have no information about other Romanians encountering problems in Greece”, FM Melescanu said.
