Three foreign doctors named new Health Ministe’s advisers

Three foreign doctors have been appointed today the new Health minister’s advisers: Kak Khee Yeung -Amsterdam UMC, Sheriff Sultan- Galway Clinic and professor doctor T Sloane Guy – Sidney Kimmel Medical College, according to a press release by the Health Ministry.“I worked with all three of them, they are performing as experts and as top managers as well. I am glad and honoured to work with them on two new fields, new healthcare programmes, and also on research projects, which are priorities for my team. Romania has forgotten about the medical research that brings benefits to the development of high-quality healthcare services for patients. I would like us to open our healthcare system to the world,” minister Victor Costache says.

Kak Khee Yeung, a female physician, is leading the consortium comprising various hospitals in Europe that is trying to secure financing from the European Union to treat aortic diseases. She is a transnational researcher, cardiovascular surgeon, head of research in vascular surgery.

Sherif Sultan, an Irish doctor of Egyptian origin, is one of the best rated surgeons and researchers in cardiovascular diseases in the world, while Professor doctor T Sloane Guy is the no. 1 specialist in robotics surgery in the world.
