Traffic restrictions in Bucharest during the weekend for sporting events

Several traffic restrictions will be in place on Sunday, April 3, downtown Bucharest, where some sporting events will take place, according to the Road Police Brigade.

According to the release, on Sunday three sporting events will be organized. In this context, the Road Brigade announced that traffic will be diverted and restricted on several streets.

Between 09.30h-11.30h, in the Unirii Square area, the ‘10 km’ cross-country will take place on the following route: Constitution Square – Libertăţii Blv. (up to the Coşbuc square) – return on Libertăţii Blv. (up to the Constitution Square) – Unirii Blv. (up to Alba Iulia Square) – Burebista Blv. (up to Calea Dudeşti) – return on Burebista Blv. (up to Alba Iulia Square) – Decebal Blv (up to Dristorului St.) – return on Decebal Blv. – Alba Iulia Square – Unirii Blv. – Constitution Square – Libertăţii Blv. (up to Splaiul Independence) – return on Libertăţii Blv. (up to Constitution Square).

Also on Sunday, between 11.30h-12.30h, around the Palace of Parliament will be held competition ‘Family Run’. For this event the traffic will be blocked for one hour on the route Constitution Square – Libertăţii Blv.  – Calea 13 Septembrie – Piaţa Arsenalului – Izvor St. (on the way to Piaţa Arsenalului) – Haşdeu St. – Splaiul Independeţei – Constitution Square.

According to the release, during 13.00h-15.00h around the Palace of Parliament, the ‘Kids and Parents run’ cross-country will take place.

Traffic will be restricted during 06.30h – 15.00h on the streets where competitions will be held, and between 08.00h-18.00h on Unirii Blv., between the Constitution Square and I.C. Brătianu Blv. and on adjacent streets to the Constitution Square.
