Two More Arrested in Dacian Treasure Theft From Dutch Museum

Dutch police have arrested two more suspects in the investigation into the theft of the Dacian treasure from the Drents Museum. One of them is the man seen in footage from a DIY store in Assen. The stolen items have not yet been recovered.
Dutch police say the two suspects arrested yesterday, April 23, are a 20-year-old and an 18-year-old from Heerhugowaard. Both men will be questioned about their role in the theft of art from the Drents Museum. A total of five people have been arrested in recent weeks, four of whom are still in custody. At the end of January, police released images of one of the suspects in a DIY store in Assen. Police say the person has now been arrested.
“The investigation into the masterpieces stolen from the Drents Museum does not end with these arrests. Recovering the pieces is still our priority. The team of detectives and specialists is still conducting extensive investigations,” Dutch police said.
