Two workers dead in Snagov after being trapped underground

Two workers died in Snagov on Tuesday after being caught underground while digging a ditch. The rescue team consisting in 30 firemen has been struggling to take them out for more than three hours, but unfortunately they found them dead.
The intervention was also hindered by the fact the banks had to be stabilized before getting to the area where the two workers had been trapped.
The two men, both aged 60 were working for the Strong Construct company, hired by Snagov Town Hall to conduct some sewerage works. One of them was the foreman.
The investigators and labour inspectors are to decide if the two workers were legally employed and if all the employee safety standards have been observed.
