Vaccine Production Facility May Be Built at Cantacuzino Institute
A multifunctional hall intended for the microproduction of vaccines could be built at the Baneasa Station of the “Cantacuzino” National Institute for Medical-Military Research and Development.
The draft decision for the approval of the Zonal Urban Plan from Gheorghe Ionescu Sisești Street no. 14A was submitted to public debate on the website of the Capital City Hall.
The hall with an area of about 1,000 square meters is to be built on the land. The building will have a ground floor and a first floor.
In October 2022, Cantacuzino Institute announced it will build a new serology research and production center in the Băneasa area of Bucharest.
The investment – estimated at 150 million euros – is aimed at resuming the production of flu vaccine, tetanus vaccine and Polidin – three of the 21 serums for which Cantacuzino held the license, according to information back then.
