Meteorologists announce that the upcoming days will bring temperatures close to the seasonal norms throughout the country, but then the weather will sharply cool, reaching as low as minus 14 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas, as indicated by the forecast for the period from December 4 to 17.

In Banat, during the first week, the temperature regime will be characterized by fluctuations, with values close to, but also below, the norms for this time of year, with average maximums ranging from 5 to 7 degrees, lower around December 7 (3-5 degrees), and average minimums from -4 to 0 degrees, higher around December 7 (2-4 degrees). For the second part of the forecast interval, a more consistent temperature evolution is estimated, aligning with climatologically typical values for the first decade of December, with average maximums of 4-6 degrees and minimums around 0 degrees. The likelihood of precipitation will increase starting from December 7 and remain elevated until the end of the interval.

In Crişana, during the first week, significant fluctuations are expected between days, with values close to or below the seasonal norms, with maximums of 5-7 degrees, lower around December 7 (3-4 degrees), and minimums between -4 and -2 degrees, higher around December 7 and 8 (0-2 degrees), on a regional average. For the second part of the forecast interval, a more consistent temperature evolution is estimated, generally aligning with climatologically typical values for the first decade of December (maximums of 4-6 degrees and minimums between -2 and 0 degrees). The probability of precipitation will increase from December 7 and remain elevated until the end of the analyzed period.

In Transylvania, during the first part of the interval, the temperature regime will be characterized by significant fluctuations between days, with maximums of 2-4 degrees, higher around December 6 (5-7 degrees), and minimums from -8 to -3 degrees, on a regional average, higher especially around December 7 and 8 (between -1 and 1 degree). For the second part of the interval, a more consistent temperature evolution is estimated, with slightly positive maximums and negative nocturnal minimums. The likelihood of precipitation will increase starting from December 7 and remain elevated until the end of the interval.

In Maramureş, during the first week, the temperature regime will be characterized by significant fluctuations between days, with maximums of 2-4 degrees, higher around December 6 (6-8 degrees), and minimums down to -5 degrees, on a regional average, higher especially around December 7 and 8 (0-2 degrees). For the second part of the interval, a more consistent temperature evolution is estimated, aligning with climatologically typical values for the first decade of December, with slightly positive maximums on average of 2-4 degrees and negative nocturnal minimums averaging from -3 to -1 degree. The precipitation regime will be characterized by periods with frequent and locally more significant amounts, with a higher probability around December 8.

In Moldova, the interval will start with temperature values close to the specific norms for the period, with average maximums up to 3 degrees and minimums oscillating between -5 and -2 degrees. In the second week of the interval, from December 11 to 17, the temperature values will be slightly below the climatologically specific values, averaging around 1 degree during the day and between -5 and -4 degrees at night. The likelihood of precipitation will remain high until the end of the interval, starting from December 7.

In Dobrogea, temperature values will gradually increase in the first days of the interval, ranging slightly above the seasonal norms. Maximums will be between 4 and 8 degrees, and minimums will be from -2 degrees to 4 degrees (lower in the first two days). By the end of the first week of the interval, temperatures will have slight oscillations, with a subsequent cooling trend in the second week, reaching values around those specific to the period. Maximums will be 4-5 degrees, and minimums will range between -1 and 1 degree. In the second week, there is a tendency for a gradual cooling, with values approaching multi-year averages. The probability of rain will be higher on December 4 and again from December 7 until the end of the interval.

In Muntenia, the temperature regime will be close to normal during the first week, with maximums between 3 and 7 degrees and minimums between -6 and 3 degrees. A slight increase in temperature is expected in the second week, with maximums between 3 and 9 degrees and minimums from -2 to 4 degrees. Precipitation will be deficient throughout most of the interval, except for the period December 7-11, when moderate amounts of water are possible, predominantly in the form of rain and sleet.

In Oltenia, temperatures will remain close to normal in the first week, with maximums between 3 and 7 degrees and minimums ranging between -6 and 3 degrees. The temperature regime will remain close to normal in the second week, with values fluctuating slightly (maximums of 3-9 degrees and minimums between -3 and 4 degrees). Precipitation will be deficient for most of the interval, but moderate amounts of water are possible from December 7-11, predominantly in the form of rain and sleet.

In the mountains, the weather will be cold throughout the entire interval, with temperatures close to the normal for the period. Maximums will range between -7 and 4 degrees, and minimums will be between -14 and 0 degrees, with frost at altitudes over 1,500 meters. The likelihood of precipitation will be higher in the interval December 7-11, when moderate snowfall is expected.
