Wizz Air aircraft flying from London to Iasi has emergency landing in Bucharest

Wizz Air aircraft WZZ 3652, flying from Luton, London to Iasi, eastern Romania, has had an emergency landing on Henri Coanda/Otopeni Airport in Bucharest on Monday at 14:26hrs, due to a technical issue.

169 passengers were on board, including five children, as well as the crew consisting in 2 pilots and 4 flight attendants.

According to procedures for this type of situations, the Airbus A320 aircraft has landed without incidents.

The company’s officials have confirmed in a press statement that the aircraft W6 3652 from Luton, London to Iasi has been redirected to Bucharest due to technical problems.

“The aircraft has landed in normal conditions and in the process of verification. Passengers were offered transport from Bucharest by coaches and they arrived in Iasi around 23:15hrs, local hour. Wizz Air apologizes to all passengers for the any inconvenience, but the safety of the passengers, of the crew and of the aircraft comes first”, reads the press statement.
