Woman who died in the Leoni car accident was Serbian. Another two Serbian women injured
The woman who died after an employee of Leoni cables and wiring factory in Pitesti crashed the car into other employees on Thursday was Serbian, like the other two women injured.
The Serbian ambassador in Bucharest, Branko Brankovic, has visited the injured women in hospital on Friday and talked to one of the woman, saying she is better.
The ambassador said he only talked to one of them, as the other one was sleeping.
Ambassador Brankovic added that the embassy would take care of the repatriation of the dead young woman’s body. She died on the spot when the driver crashed the car into a group of employees during their lunch break.
Investigators say that the young woman who died had come to Romania for training and she was to return home in Serbia, as her labour contract expired on Friday.
The medical director of the Pitesti County Hospital, Adrian Stoiculescu, revealed that the two Serbian young women had suffered brain contusions; one woman will be discharged on Saturday and the other one in six days.
The driver who caused the accident was detained.
