Yellow Code for rainfalls and wind for half the country and Bucharest

The meteorologists have issued a Yellow Code warning for wind, rains and snowfalls for 29 counties including Bucharest from Tuesday morning 9.00h until Wednesday, 21.00h. According to the National Meteorology Administration (ANM), during this interval intensive rain will fall in the regions of Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobrogea, the southern part of Moldavia and in Southern and Eastern Carpathians, with quantities amounting to 20-30 litres per square metre and on isolated areas amounting to over 50 litres per square metre.

At altitudes over 1,700 metres precipitations will turn into snow, especially in the southern Carpathians, while wind gusts will reach 55-65 km per hour, sometimes more than 70 km per hour.

Temperatures will be below the normal average for this period of the year.
