Over 150 novels and publications are placed at visitors’ disposal for free in Cismigiu Park during July 1 and August 31, within the second edition of “The book tree” event organized by Bucharest City Hall through ‘Creart’ Creation, Art and Tradition center in partnership with the Association for Urban Culture and Environment (ACUM).
Reading, leisure and ambient music are available on the lawn from Victor Eftimiu and Rigas entrances, from 17:00 to 22:00 during the week and from 10:00 to 22:00 in the weekend.
Besides open-air reading time, the event also includes workshops for children (every Saturday and Sunday starting 10 a.m.) when they will be able to explore the origami world and to join the favorite tale characters.
Grown ups are invited to attend several creative and practical workshops, such as the fashion one “Dress for success” (July 3 to 9, at 18:30) where they can learn how to use clothes as a tool to express their personalities, as well as “Sewn Ideas” workshops due on July 2, at 18:30.
Krav Maga self-defence classes are also available during July 5-12, between 6 and 7 p.m. This is a fight method derived from the military method used by Israeli Special Forces or Tai Chi ones.
Theater lovers are invited at Dell’Arte Theater festival on July 10 and 11, starting 8 p.m.
Weekend nights are reserved for DJ and sax live sessions, improvisation shows and piano concerts, as of 7 p.m.
