Amanda, Mikhael Hers’ third film hits the Romanian theaters

What can be more suitable for the early days of summer than a solar, hopeful and tender film?

Amanda, the third film signed by French director Mikhaël Hers, released for the first time and awarded with the “Magic Lantern” prize in Orizzonti section of the Venice Film Festival, has now hit the Romanian theaters.

The movie will be screened in 32 cinemas in 21 cities in Romania as of May 24: Bucharest, Cluj, Bârlad, Bistrița, Botoșani, Brașov, Caransebeș, Craiova, Constanța, Iași, Lugoj, Onești, Petroșani, Piatra Neamț, Pitești, Reșița, Sinaia, Sfântu Gheorghe, Slobozia, Târgu Mureș, Vulcan.

In the present day Paris, a 24-year-old young man David (Vincent Lacoste) lives a bohemian life until things are taking a sudden and dramatic turn: his sister dies in a terrorist attack, and David has to take care of his 7-year-old niece, Amanda.

Letting behind the tragic event, the two, uncle and niece, are building a bright relationship, while David’s being a grown-up is taking place smoothly and hopefully.
