The International Street Theatre Festival, „B-FIT in the Street!” has kicked off on July 13 in the Romanian Capital, with street theatre performances to be in full swing until August 5.
The 10th edition of the festival, entitled „A Romanian story in the Year of Centennial”, brings street theatre shows performed by artists from Romania, Denmark, Slovakia, Spain, France, Italy and Portugal to Bucharest for the next three week-ends.
Cabaret dancers, acrobats on stilts, circus performers have filled in the streets downtown Bucharest since last Friday, July 13, luring spectators to attend their shows until late in the night.
Air acrobatics show Sonics Wish from Italy had its world premiere in George Enescu Square on Saturday night, while Water Fools show from France turned the lake of Cismigiu Park into a poetic performance.
B-FIT in the Street! is extending this year not only the area of the performance venues but also the type of the shows. Cismigiu Park is hosting workshops and educational shows for children every weekend.
Another premiere of this edition is the Universitate Square is hosting the Collective Strings from Denmark, the first interactive installation released within the festival. So, visitors ad tourists can interact with the installation that will be continuously changing during the upcoming three weeks.
More shows to come during the July 21-21, July 28-28 and August 4-5 week-ends.
