A tourist bus touring 30 museums is available in Bucharest as of Friday, November 3.

The bus no 362 is operated by the RATB, the public transport operator in Bucharest, and starts from Piata Presei Libere up to Carol Park, in a guided tour visiting 30 museums in the Capital. A ticket costs RON 1.3, while the tour is free for the children below 6.

The bus goes from 10 a.m. up to 10 p.m. on a route of 29.3 kilometers. Three buses are available for this route, every 45 minutes. Tourists can find a map of the museum’s tour inside the bus, with details about the sights in Romanian and English. Information about the museum at the next stop is available in Romanian and English also on the loudspeakers.

Passengers can visit any museum in Bucharest from the “Doctor Minovici” Popular Art Museum, to the Village Museum, the Sports Museum, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, the Palace of Parliament, the National Library of Romania, and “Theodor Aman” or “Zambaccian” museums.

The idea of opening such a tourist bus for museums belonged to the former National Art Museum, Calin Stegerean.

The tour was commissioned on Friday in the presence of the Culture minister Lucian Romascanu and Bucharest mayor Gabriela Firea, who mentioned the project implies a monthly cost of EUR 30,000.
