Classical music gets underground

Bucharesters will have a new opportunity to listen to classical music while crossing the most passed through tube stations during November 10-14, between 5 and 7 p.m. “Art doesn’t bite” NGO, supported by Metrore, is offering access to classical music performed by opera artists and students right on the subway platforms for almost a week. Anyone who will transit Piata Unirii 1, Piata Unirii 2, Universitate and Piata Victoriei stations will be able to enjoy some “long hair” tunes, but also unedited moments of graphics, drawing, painting, salsa, contemporary dance and classic ballet.

The event will end with a special photo exhibition depicting the most moving faces of the performances’ participants. It is the third time that the underground classical music festival is hold in Bucharest.

“Art doesn’t bite” is a Romanian social—cultural undertaking that aims at encouraging cultural products’ consumption and at drawing the audience near the creative universe, as well as at promoting young talented artists in a fresh unconventional way.
