Contest to promote Poland in Romanian language on Wikipedia sends you to Gda?sk

The fourth edition of POLISH RO.WIKIPEDIA contest, organized by Wikipedia in Romanian and the Polish Institute in Bucharest, kicked off on Tuesday. The contest aims at promoting Poland and encouraging at the same time the development of Wikipedia in Romanian language. The contenders has to post Romanian articles about Poland on Wikipedia until the end of the year and the participant who will create the most new articles about Poland and who will add significant information to the existing ones will win a weekend trip for two persons to Gda?sk, accommodation and two air-travel tickets included. Articles translated from other languages of other Wikipedia version are allowed. The only condition is that the articles should contain information directly related to Poland, to Polish culture and personalities, to its tradition, science or history and, of course, they must comply with Wikipedia rules. Remarkable articles will also be rewarded with additional prizes such as invitations to the Polish Institute’s cultural events, books and albums, classical music or jazz CDs.

Participants can register with their Wikipedia username and postal address by an e-mail sent to bucuresti@instytutpolski.org<mailto:bucuresti@instytutpolski.org>. The contest’s results will be announced on the Polish Institute website on January 9, 2015. The contest’s regulation is posted at http://www.culturapoloneza.ro.

Thanks to the three previous editions of POLISH RO.WIKIPEDIA contest in 2012 and 2013, Romanian Wikipedia grew rich with over 600 articles about Poland.
