“Die Flügel” by Cartarescu, read and promoted abroad

The book will be promoted by author Mircea C?rt?rescu himself through a tour in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Writer Mircea C?rt?rescu will participate, November 6 to 13, in an extensive tour for promoting the book “Die Flügel” (“Right wing”, translated by Ferdinand Leopold) in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, informs the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) in Vienna.

The book is to be promoted by the author in Berlin, Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Basel, Passau, Graz and Vienna.

Literaturhaus Berlin director, translator Ernest Wichner, will accompany Mircea C?rt?rescu in Austria and will take part in a series of readings held in Romanian and German.

The translation into German of “Blinding” trilogy was accomplished by Gerhardt Csejka and Ferdinand Leopold. The first two volumes, “Die Wissenden” (“Left wing”, translated by Gerhardt Csejka) and “Der Körper” (“Body”, translated by Gerhardt Csejka and Ferdinand Leopold) have been published with ICR support at Paul Zsolnay publishing house in 2007 and 2011.
