Distribution of ‘Nutcraker On Ice’ revealed


Russia’s World and European champions, masters of sports on figure skating, rejoined in the Saint Petersburg State Ballet on Ice will come back in Bucharest in less than ten days to perform „The Nutcraker On Ice” on the stage of Sala Palatului, on January 17, at 7 p.m. The access is available as of 6 p.m, organizers from the Germany Quality Entertainment informed.

Among the principal dancers there will be Oleg Iagubkov, Ekaterina Kostromina, Roman Zarutskii, Osipenko Vera, Danil Vedernikov, Daria Kapustinskaia, Lekhmus Marina, Pototckii Iurii, Kim Oleg, Golodnev Sergei, Seresneva Karina and Kuriatkova Anna, with all of them starring as leading actors in the famous Ballet on Ice’s productions.

OLEG IAGUBKOV was born in Perm. Master of Sports in figure skating. Competitor in international events in Canada and USA, member of National Juniors team. Principal dancer of Saint-Petersburg State Ballet on Ice. Leading roles in “Swan Lake”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Nutcracker”, “Cinderella”.

EKATERINA KOSTROMINA master of Sports in single skating. “Cup of Russia” winner. Leading roles in “Swan Lake”, “Nutcracker”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Cinderella”.

ROMAN ZARUTSKII Master of Sports in figure skating. Medal winner of the skating competition “Cup of Russia”, repeated prize winner of International Junior competitions in Grand Prix series. Champion of Russia in pair skating. Executor of leading roles in “Swan Lake”, “Nutcracker”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Cinderella”, “Romeo and Juliette”.

OSIPENKO VERA master of Sport of Russia in ice-dance figure skating. Member of Russia in ice-dancing skating Junior team. “Cup of Russia” winner (ice-dancing) – junior level.

Leading roles in “Nutcracker”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Cinderella” and in “Swan Lake”.

DANIL VEDERNIKOV Master of Sports in pair figure skating. Winner of the skating competition “Cup of Russia”, repeated prize winner of Local and International competitions. He has been dancing many leading roles in “Romeo and Juliette”, “Nutcracker”, “Sleeping beauty” and “Cinderella” “Romeo and Juliette”.

DARIA KAPUSTINSKAIA Master of Sports of the International class. Member of Russia pair skating Junior team. Multiple champion of Russia in team synchronous skating and World Cup series. Leading roles in “Sleeping Beauty”, “Nutcracker”, “Cinderella”, “Romeo and Juliette”.

LEKHMUS MARINA Master of Sports of Russia in single skating. Leading roles: Carabosse, the wicked fairy in “Sleeping Beauty” and “Nurse” in “Romeo and Juliette”, Step-mother in “Cinderella”.

POTOTCKII IURII Master of Sports of Russia in single skating. Participant of International competitions. Leading roles: Carabosse, the wicked fairy in “Sleeping Beauty”, Mercutio in “Romeo and Juliette” and Jester in “Swan Lake”, Gnome in “Cinderella”.

KIM OLEG master of Sports of Russia in Single Skating. Leading roles: Prince, Rothbart in “Swan Lake”, Tybalt in “Romeo and Juliette”, Catalabutte, Master of Ceremonies in “Sleeping Beauty”.

GOLODNEV SERGEI master of sports of Russia. Leading roles: Drosselmeier in “Nutcracker” Catalabutte, Master of Ceremonies in “Sleeping Beauty”, Jester in “Swan Lake”, Benvoleo in “Romeo and Juliette” and King in “Cinderella”.

BERESNEVA KARINA master of Sports of Russia in single skating. Leading roles: Odette in “Swan Lake” and Lilac Fairy in “Sleeping Beauty”, Shrew (sister) in “Cinderella”.

KURIATKOVA ANNA master of Sport of Russia. Leading roles: Lilac Fairy in “Sleeping Beauty” and Fairy in “Cinderella”.

IGOLKINA ALEKSANDRA master of sports of Russia. Leading role – Poseur (sister) in “Cinderella”.

The Saint-Petersburg State Ballet on ice (former the Leningrad State Ballet on ice) founded in 1967 by the outstanding choreographer Konstantin Boyarsky, is the successor of the remarkable traditions of the St.Petersburg school of the classical ballet.

The Ballet is headed by its Artistic Director, former soloist of the world-famous Mariinsky Ballet, Merited Artist of Russia, principal choreographer Konstantin Rassadin, a school-mate of Rudolf Nuriev. He participated in the performances jointly with Mikhail Baryshnikov and Natalia Makarova. All the productions are staged by Rassadin.

Musical Director and one of the co-founders of the Ballet is Leo Korkhin, prominent Russian conductor who conducts quite a number of orchestras including the renowned Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic Society named after D.Shostakovich.

The multiple World and European champions, double Olympic champions Ludmila Beloussova and Oleg Protopopov; multiple World and European champion, Olympic champion Alexei Ulanov; multiple prize winner of the World and European figure-skating competitions and Olympic games Ludmila Smirnova danced in the Ballet at different times. There are about 20 dancers in the company who have the honorable titles of the Masters of Sports of Russia for the victories at the all-Russia and international figure-skating competitions. Since 1995 the Saint-Petersburg Ballet on ice has been performing on stage of opera theaters. It shows the most famous ballets by P.Tchaikovsky: “Sleeping Beauty”, “Swan Lake”, “Nutcracker” and ballets by S.Prokofiev “Cinderella” and “Romeo and Juliet” as well.
