The second edition of Embassies Festival – “Open Your Culture” kicked off Monday evening at the Bucharest National Theatre (TNB), where international exhibitions of contemporary and traditional art. will be held daily for a week between 4 PM – 8 PM.
“The theater is ready to host such important events, and this is a first class event which presents so many cultures, so many images of each country, each of them coming here with what has most specific and sensitive,” TNB director, famous actor Ion Caramitru stated in the opening speech.
The Embassies Festival is the first initiative of this kind on the Romanian cultural landscape and one of the most important world events that addresses multiculturalism in a unique way, by promoting the culture & art of different countries with diplomatic missions in Romania.
Thus, for seven days, through a series of events and exhibitions, held in three different locations – TNB, Romexpo, Romanian Peasant Museum – Bucharest becomes the colorful host of multiculturalism.
This year, the Embassies Festival is under the sign of the Family concept. More then 50 embassies display at their stalls traditional handicraft, art and culture exhibitions, patrimony items, gastronomic specialities and many others.
