One of the most interesting electro Polish artists, Bartosz Schmidt, also known as Baasch, is coming in Romania for the first time. He will perform a concert at TIFF in Cluj Napoca on May 31st and another one in Bucharest in Club Control on June 1st.
The musician became famous across the cinema world after signing the soundtrack of mostly awarded „Floating Skyscrapers” directed by Tomasz Wasilewski, who won the direction prize at the Transylvania International Film Festival in 2014. This year, Wasilewski is part of the TIFF jury and presents his “The United States of Love” movie, awarded the Silver Bear at Berlin Film Festival.
Baasch, a young producer, singer and composer from Poland, is recognized for his talent for lyrics and his taste for dark analog sounds. Four synth-pop tracks available online propelled the artist on a compilation that presents a selection of the most interesting emerging electro artists of the moment. Baasch has been invited to represent the Polish electro scene at prestigious music festivals since before the release of his debut EP, Simple Dark & Romantic Songs.
Known for his charismatic appearances, Baasch took the stage as an opening act for artists such as Tricky or Bloodgroup.
The concert in Cluj is due at Urania Palace, 4 Horea street within TIFF. Romanian Baba Dochia band will perform in the opening act.
The event is organised with the support of the Polish Insitute in Bucharest.
The second concert is due in Club Control, Bucharest, 4 Constantin Mille street, at 21:00. Free access.
