FEST(IN) on Boulevard theatre festival kicks off in Bucharest
The Nottara Theatre reopens gates for the audience on Monday, October 10 together with the 4th edition of the FEST(IN) on Boulevard International Theatre Festival, running October 10-22. The festival will also host exhibitions, book launchings and other performances.
Today as of 16:30 the audience will be able to enjoy a photo exhibition depicting images from the performances hosted by Nottara Theatre, some dating back in the 50s. Unique photos with Romanian great actors will be on display. The entrance is free, and all people will be able to tour the theatre building and interact with the actors present at that moment.
31 performances will join the festival (Bulandra, Metropolis, Nottara, Odeon, Art Theatre, Tandarica theatres from Bucharest and other theatres from Arad, Braşov, Brăila, Cluj, Constanţa, Iaşi, Timişoara, Târgovişte), as well as guests from abroad: Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Kosovo, R. of Moldova, Serbia, Slovenia.
The festival will also comprise a street event, two photo exhibitions, three reading performances, four book launchings and four colloquies.
Tonight at 18:45 the first performance “Notenkraker or…the fifth season” by Ernst Theodor Hoffman, staged by the Latin Race Variety Theatre from Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. The play will open the “Comedy Boulevard” section and is staged at Horia Lovinescu Hall.
The tickets are available online at www.festinpebulevard.ro or at the theatre’s booking office on 20 Magheru Blvd, from Monday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
