Film Festival on Holocaust in Bucharest next week

The National Institute for Studying Holocaust in Romania “Elie Wiesel” is holding the film festival “Holocaust through the eyes of a cinema-goer”, with the support of US Embassy in Bucharest. The festival is due on January 27-29 at Horia Bernea Studio of the Romanian Peasant Museum (MTR).

The official opening is due on Tuesday, January 27, starting 17:30, with the first day of the festival bringing “Gruber’s journey” film directed by Romanian Radu Gabrea, as well as “Genocide”, Oscar winner documentary, narrated by Liz Taylor and Orson Welles.

“Nazi Concentration Camps” (1945), “Judgment at Nuremberg” (1961), “The Path to Nazi Genocide” and “The long way home” will be screened on January 28 and “Black Sunday”; “The Diary of Anne Frank” (1959) and “Wallenberg” on January 29.
