FILM+ program: extended deadline for project registration

Filmmakers at the beginning of their careers from Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Serbia, Bulgaria and Ukraine can register their projects until August 20, 2022 at FILM+, the support program for low-budget independent film productions.

Projects can be registered by filling out the online forms on the FILM+ website at The deadline for applications is August 20, 2022. The results of the Film + 2022 – 2023 selection will be announced in the second half of September.

The 7th edition of the FILM + program supports filmmakers who have not yet made their feature film debut and those who have a debut short or feature film project in development, production or post-production.

FILM+ facilitates the development of selected projects, regardless of the genre of the films (fiction, animation, documentary, experimental) and their stage at the time of application (script development, production, post-production). During 10 calendar months, filmmakers benefit from professional, creative and networking development opportunities, participate in workshops, masterclasses, case studies and debates, as well as individual and group training sessions, coordinated by professionals and the partners involved in the program.

The FILM+ modules for which projects are accepted are:

● FILM + Development LaboratoryDedicated to projects in the development stage. Selected projects will receive guidance on script development and preparation for the financing and production stages. Production budget is NOT an eligibility criterion.

● FILM + Production LaboratoryDedicated to low-budget film projects (under 30,000 euros) in an advanced stage of preparation, which need support for filming and production (direction, image, sound, depending on the specific needs of the project). Selected projects can also benefit from physical resources (equipment, filming locations, complementing the technical and creative team).


● FILM + Work in Progress LaboratoryThe selected filmmakers will receive support for the completion of their projects (low-budget films, under 30,000 euros): guidance, feedback and technical support, depending on the needs of each project (image and/or sound post-processing, special effects, graphics, etc.).
