Cannes 2015: Romanian actor Levente Molnár, awarded the Grand Jury Prize

The film “Son of Saul”, having Romanian actor Levente Molnár (photo) in the cast, received the Grand Jury Prize at the gala of the 68th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, which took place on Sunday evening.

This is the second award for ‘Saul Fia/Son of Saul’, the debut  in feature film of Hungarian director Laszlo Nemes, which had its world premiere at this year’s edition of the Cannes Film Festival, being selected to the official competition.

The film was rewarded on Saturday, receiving also the prize of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) for a feature film in official competition at Cannes Film Festival.

Levente Molnár, an actor of the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj-Napoca, has a key role in this film: he plays Abraham Warsawski, the closest friend of Saul, who was with him in a concentration camp.
