FITS 2025 tickets go on sale tomorrow

Tickets for the 32nd edition of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS) will go on sale tomorrow, April 23, starting at 12:00 PM, on the official website sibfest.ro.

Audiences have had two weeks to review the FITS program and select the performances they want to attend between June 20 and June 29.

Tickets for no less than 150 indoor performances and 37 online shows will be available, priced between 30 and 150 lei, both online at www.sibfest.ro and at the TNRS Ticket Agency, located at 17 Nicolae Bălcescu Street in Sibiu.

“For this year’s edition, 57% of the shows can be seen without a ticket. It is the festival’s grand gesture to the public, which we deeply care for. There is no other festival in the world offering so many free performances. At the same time, I want to emphasize that ticket prices have remained the same since 2021, even though all costs have tripled in the meantime. We are making this enormous effort for the public,” said Constantin Chiriac, FITS President and General Director of TNRS.

Bill Murray and Kathleen Turner Among the Special Guests of This Edition

The 32nd edition of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival features a rich program that includes a concert-performance with the legendary Bill Murray (New Worlds), a theatre-meets-contemporary-circus show starring American actress Kathleen Turner (Listen to Me), the co-production of the Radu Stanca National Theatre with Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre – Jonah, directed by Silviu Purcărete, a performance by Tiago Rodrigues, Artistic Director of the Avignon Theatre Festival (No Yogurt for the Dead), a Schaubühne Berlin production directed by Milo Rau, Director of the Vienna Festival (The Seer), as well as contemporary dance shows by Kibbutz Dance Company and Vertigo Dance Company, two of the most acclaimed dance companies from Israel.

This year’s theme – THANK YOU – symbolizes generosity, joy, the power of giving, emotion, and the profound relationship between artists and audiences, made possible by all those who support this miraculous process.
