Valentine’s Day is opening a new love and spring season at Artmark auction house, which invites art lovers at Cesianu-Racovita Palace to enjoy a wide range of silver models and jewelry, fancy or elegant-minimalistic jewelry, impressive painting art works or Belle Époque-style art deco. All of them are rejoined in the exhibition on Martisor (trinket worn in honour of March 1), representing a drainless life breath of symbolic gifts.

The display is heralding the most expected art event of early 2015: Martisor auction which help you find the perfect gift to represent your emotions as authentically as possible, on the eve of Dragobete (Romanian lovers’ Day), Martisor (March 1) and Women Day (March 8).

Any lady who appreciates the carefulness of gold and silver creations and who believes in the magic of a heralding spring totem will be flattered by such a gift, but also by the Artmark decorations’ singularity: two silver midget turtles (estimated at EUR 30-50), the collection of silver toy animals (EUR 80-120), album–like pendant with family photos (EUR 50-80), “Velo”- a golden diamonds-adorned brooch (EUR 200-300), golden clown brooch adorned with sapphire, emerald, rubies and diamonds (EUR 180-250).mini juc ag

Jewelry section is also luring ladies’ attention. Among the suggestions there is a white golden pair of ear rings adorned with sapphires, aquamarines and diamonds (estimated at EUR 150-250), golden ring that can convert to bracelet, decorated with diamonds and emeralds (EUR 1,000-1,600), pearl necklace adorned with diamond flower (EUR 500-800), a precious collection piece representing a golden pendant brooch, adorned with midget mosaic (EUR 1,200-2,000).

Gentlemen have not been forgotten, as they can enjoy a fine wine and beverage selection, having Parker points of 90.

The upcoming auction could not miss painting. Among the small-size works that ennobles Martisor auction exhibition there are “Girl with yellow shawl” (EUR 10,000-18,000 estimated price) and “Returning offshore” (EUR 20,000-30,000) by Nicoale Tonitza, “Carriage caravan” by Nicoale Grigorescu (EUR 20,000-30,000), “Brittany shore” by Theodor Pallady (estimated for EUR 7,000-12,000), “The red dress” by Lucian Grigorescu (EUR 700-1,200), “Static nature with pears and book” by Gheorghe Petrascu (EUR 20,000-30,000), “Provence landscape” by Samuel Mützner (EUR 2,500-3,500), “Peasant” by Rudolf Schweitzer-Cump?na (EUR 2.000 – 3.500).

The exhibition is opened during February 9-23, between 10:00-20:00 at Artmark headquarters. The first part of the auction is due on February 24, at 20:00, while the second part of the auction on February 26, at 19:30. In both evenings, the auction takes place at Athénée Palace Hilton.
