ICEEfest – People want to stay connected all the time and check accounts 14 times a day, Head of CEE Facebook says
Robert Bednarski, Head of CEE Facebook, said on Friday at the ICEEfest 2015 event in Bucharest that people want to stay connected all the time and check the flow of news from the social network Facebook 14 times day on average.
Robert Bednarski made the presentation “Facebook Evolution” on Friday in the session “A Room With A Giant Global View” at ICEEfest 2015.
In this context, Bednarski said that a few years ago, social media was dominated by text rather than photos and videos, while now it is all about being connected and distributing content. “Photos now dominate how people express their feelings and the way content is distributed,” Bednarski said.
According to Robert Bednarski, the video content has also become very important. Thus, every day, there are registered 4 billion visualizations of videos published on Facebook.
However, 50% of people with accounts on Facebook watch at least a video every day, and most people (75%) do this using by mobile devices.
Also, according to Bednarski, people want to be always connected. Thus, Facebook users are used to verify the news flow (News Feed) 14 times per day on average.
ICEEfest – Interactive Festival Central and Eastern Europe – began on Thursday and ends on Friday. The Thinkdigital event is organized in partnership with Orange.
