iMapp Bucharest due on September 23, in the Constitution Square

The eighth edition of the international 3D video mapping competition, iMapp Bucharest – Winners League, will take place on Saturday, September 23, in Piața Constituției. The theme of this year’s edition is CONTRASTS. iMapp Bucharest promises Bucharest residents and tourists 12 hours of entertainment.

“On the stage in Piața Constituției, from 11:00 in the morning, DJ CS84 will bring electronic rhythms to the public. In the afternoon, from 17.00, KOV will conquer with music and dance, and from 19.00, DJ Ravin, creator of Buddha Bar compilations, will complete the atmosphere with electrifying music. The iMapp Bucharest – Winners League show will start in the evening. In front of the international jury made up of audio-visual arts professionals, 5 teams, winners of the video mapping festivals in France, Germany, Greece, Hungary and Japan, will compete and design the works on the 23,000 sqm facade of the Palace of the Parliament“, announces the Capital City Hall , the organizer of the event.

The atmosphere of the world’s largest 3D video mapping event will be complemented by street artists in themed costumes, who will take the audience on a journey of art and technology. In the street food and relaxation area, during the whole day, you will find international dishes for the whole family.

Pixel, the new virtual MC of iMapp Bucharest, generated by AI, will address the public, directly from the largest projection surface in the world.

The Official Ambassador of iMapp Bucharest is the renowned international artist Jean-Michel Jarre, who will be present in Bucharest to personally hand over the Grand Prize to the winning team, designated by the competition jury. Jean Michel Jarre is one of the pioneers of electronic music, recognized for his outdoor concerts in impressive locations, his unique performances combining music with light games and laser effects. Its events are distinguished by the largest audiences in the world, with Jean Michel Jarre holding the Guinness World Record for the largest outdoor shows three times. Jarre has sold 80 million albums and singles worldwide.

Access will be made from Natiunile Unite Boulevard and Calea 13 Septembrie, through specially designed areas. Entrance is free, starting at 11.00.
