American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz is performing for the first time in Romania on March 11, within a special acoustic show „An evening with Jason Mraz and his guitar”. The performance in Bucharest was sold-out in 48 hours since it has been first announced, as Pure Indie Entertainment informed.
So, the top grosser acoustic show will take place at the Radio Hall (60-64 General Berthlot street) at 8 p.m., with the access being available as of 7 p.m.
Mraz recital in Bucharest is part of a solo tour, with performances taking place in smaller, more intimate concert halls, so that fans to really enjoy a special night in the society of Jason Mraz. Reykjavik, Vilnius, Tallinn, Warsaw, Budapest, Vienna and Prague are also on the tour’s map.
Jason Mraz first came to prominence in the San Diego coffee shop scene in 2000. Mostly famous for “I’m Yours” hit, Mraz has earned Platinum and multi-Platinum certifications in over 20 countries, and has toured in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and parts of Africa. As of July 2014, Mraz has sold over seven million albums and over 11.5 million downloaded singles. His musical style, from rhythmic feeling to his use of nylon string guitars, has been heavily influenced by Brazilian music.
He was born and raised in Virginia, USA but he is of Czech and Slovak descent through his grandfather, who moved to the United States from Austria-Hungary in 1915. His surname is Czech for “frost” .
