Few moments are associated with more superstitions than full moon nights, when unseen things emerge from the shadows, the air is filled with mystery and the witches gather to cast and undo spells. On August the 25th and 26th, Jessie Ware’s love-filled white magic and Kovacs’ black magic, full of stories of disappointment, mistrust and survival, joined by Nouvelle Vague’s unconventional re-interpretations of famous songs, will once again be found on the stage Full Moon Live festival’s second edition, organized by Events.

Jessie Ware

Pouring all of her soul out into the songs, with lyrics that take on different meaning every time they embed themselves further into memory, Jessie Ware, the free spirit who brings soul and electro notes to pop music, came to be on everyone’s lips in 2012, with the launch of “Wildest Moments”, a long-time playlist favourite on Romania’s radio stations. With over a million albums sold and beloved by critics and public alike, the renowned Great Britain vocalist promises to deliver a captivating concert on August 25th, leaving the fans spellbound by the intense love stories captured by her special voice and interpretation.

With the voice of a soul music legend and a complicated history that her courage, determination and unheard-of talent turned into an open and emotional musical journey, Kovacs brings to the stage a complex genre, combining and elevating many styles. Singing her emotional journey from darkness to light in her newest album, “Cheap Smell”, the Dutch artist – chosen among the best ten musical debuts of 2016 – will take her audience through all the stages from fury to wild love, from addiction to acceptance. The very personal stories about modern relationships, filled in turn with shadows and light, are at the heart of her new album, and the deliciously dark sound of songs like “My Love”, “Adickted”, “Black Spider”, “Midnight Medicine”, “Play Me” and “Priceless” is sure to win the audience over.

Nouvelle Vague

On-stage before Kovacs will be Nouvelle Vague, inspired by the new wave movement, punk and post-punk music, who will bring to life, in their own interpretation, famous songs of iconic bands like Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, Sex Pistols, Talk Talk, Robert Palmer, The Sisters of Mercy, Killing Joke, The Clash, Billy Idol, New Order, The Smiths and The Cure.

The artist from Basarabia who made history on YouTube with his song “Mă ucide ea” and has been topping the charts since 2015 will also be on the Full Moon Live Festival stage. Songs like “See You Soon”, “Who You Are”, “Doar visuri” and “Simt că ne-am îndepărtat” went viral, bringing to the forefront of everyone’s attention this complex artist, equally passionate about music, photography and visual arts.

Full Moon Live Festival’s first edition took place in Bucharest, in 2016, when the full moon saw fans bewitched by LP and Asaf Avidan, Yelllow, Lucia, Imagination Orchestra and Moonlight Breakfast.

Up until and including July 20th, the first 300 passes are being sold at 199 RON (Normal access price), offering Golden Ring access. The passes can be bought through the Eventim network, or online.
