London WSET School to lecture on wines & spirits art in Bucharest

Wine and Spirit Education Trust London, world leader in Wine Education, offer new qualifications and courses in Wine & spirits in Bucharest soon.

WSET of London will offer courses & qualifications in wine to anyone interested in wine, from entry level to experienced amateur, to people from the Horeca Industry. Courses will be held by the Approved Programme Provider of Bucharest: London Street Atelier, XX putul lui Zamfir starting February 26, 2016.

London Street Atelier will propose Level 1 (1 day full course – 145 Eur), Level 2 (2.5 days – 345 Eur) and is in application to also offer Level 3. These courses will be held by the nominated Educator Frédéric Vigroux, Certified Wine Educator, and a team of professors from UK & France. All the courses alternate 50 % of theory and 50 % of tasting – all wines being purchased in France, UK and from specialist shop (no wine purchased in supermarkets except when requested by the syllabus) and end with an exam, corrected by the headquarters of London. The course covers: viticulture & wine-making, most important grapes, wine-waiting, and the main wine producing regions of the old and new world.

Level 1 Award is a good introductory first course for the wine enthusiast who wishes to be introduced in a structured way to – wine styles, storing and serving of wine, and food and wine matching and also provides the basic product knowledge and skills in the service and retail of wine to prepare a person for their first job in hospitality or retail. Level 2 Award is suitable for anybody who has a serious interest in wine, and wishes to broaden their knowledge in a structured way. Students will receive a course book (a comprehensive guide to the wines of the world – illustrated with detailed maps & label explanations), a study guide (complete with maps, example questions, and forms for your own tasting notes) and laminated tasting card.
