The Madrigal – Marin Constantin National Chamber Choir and the Arcuș Cultural Center inaugurate the first exhibition of the 2025 exhibition season, inviting the public to explore the visual universe of artist Florin Hutium.

The opening event will take place in the presence of Florin Hutium and art historian Vladimir Bulat on Thursday, March 6, at 6:00 PM, at Casa Madrigal, Aleea Dealul Mitropoliei no. 11, Bucharest.

The exhibition will be open to visitors during the vernissage and on weekends—Saturdays and Sundays, from March 8 to March 30, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. On weekdays, visits can be scheduled upon request. Admission is free.

Florin Hutium presents 60 recent works at the Madrigal Gallery, created during his artistic residency within the Madrigal Choir’s rehearsal space, alongside selected pieces from his personal collection.

“Florin Hutium’s works conceal fragments of universes connected to history and significant moments in human evolution, layered and juxtaposed based on details that complete the overall image. These associations are not random—they challenge the viewer and invite a deeper analysis.”
Silvana Dulamă, Curator of the Madrigal Gallery

Madrigal Gallery: A Space for Creation and Art

Housed in the stunning Casa Madrigal on Dealul Mitropoliei, the Madrigal Gallery is a creative residency program and a synergistic space dedicated to both music and visual arts. From March to December 2025, ten artists will be invited to create within the choir’s rehearsal hall and later showcase their work in the gallery for one month.

The Madrigal Gallery is part of the “Marin Constantin 100” anniversary program. In 2025, the Madrigal Choir celebrates 100 years since the birth of its founder, Marin Constantin (1925–2011), through a series of cultural projects and events throughout the year.
