Mastering the Music Business 2023 kicks off. Who are the guests of this edition?

Between September 5th and 7th, Hotel Caro becomes the place where both artists and industry professionals have the opportunity to meet, learn from and interact directly with top industry experts at the MMB conference.

The more than 40 panels, workshops, case studies, presentations and Q&A sessions will take place at Hotel Caro, between September 5 and 7 from 10 am to 6 pm. Receptions will take place daily where participants have the opportunity to interact among themselves and to enjoy short recitals with the artists Dimitri’s Bata, E-an-na and Iova. Then, from 8 p.m. until midnight, the MMB Showcase Festival concerts will take place at Club Expirat, presenting fresh artists from all over Europe.

The main topics

During the workshops, participants will learn how to manage crisis communication, but also stress in such a dynamic environment; they will learn insights about how lyrics are written and how important storytelling is; they will understand the rules of copyright; how to obtain funding; what is the role of technology and digital in music today. Among the most anticipated debates are those about the importance of AI in industry; the role of music in social initiatives, but also in tourism and the country’s economy; promoting diversity and inclusion among artists; mental health and techniques for maintaining it; insights from organizing festivals and how artists can get to perform on the big stages.

No less than 120 speakers and experts in local and international music are attending, including Irina Rimes, Corina Chiriac, Marius Moga, Cornel Ilie, Dan Byron, Doru Trăscău, Sebastian Dobrincu, Edi Petroșel (Holograf), Jurjak, experts such as Olga Juverdeanu (General Manager Global Records), Edy Chereji (Co-founder Untold), Adam Dobie (Booker Electric Castle), Laura Coroianu (CEO EMAGIC), Dan Fințescu (Programme dicretor and DJ at Kiss FM), Andreea Berghea (Music Director Kiss FM), Cristina Uruc (manager ARTEXIM, organizer of George Enescu Festival), but also foreign experts like Lisa Nasta (Event Manager at Glastonbury Festival), Georges Perot (Founder Athens Music Week), Loïc Meuley (Cultural attache at the French Institute in Romania), Alona Dmukhovska (Co-founder Music Export Ukraine) and many others.
