Over 80 litographs by French renowned painter Henri Matisse, including the famous “Jazz” collection, audio-video installations with “La Blouse Roumaine” masterpiece and a unique collection of ii (Romanian peasant embroidered blouses) are comprised in the “JazzIn the Colour” exhibition available at the Cantacuzino Castle in Busteni mountain resort on Prahova Valley as of Friday, March 24.
A collection of 80-year-old traditional folk costumes will add to the audio-video installations dedicated to Henri Matisse’s famous “La Blouse Roumaine”.
The ia that inspired the French artist is one of the pieces to be on display in the castle’s Art Gallery, in project powered by Flori de Ie.
Visitors can also enjoy MATISSE-THEK, a special venue where documentaries on Matisse’s life and work will be screened.
The exhibition will run until June 25. The entrance ticket is RON 20.
Cantacuzino Castle Art Gallery was set up in 2015, with the first exhibition being dedicated to Salvadar Dali. Graphic works by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall and Vincent van Gogh followed. Over 80,000 people visited the four exhibitions.
