There were 4 days of metal. Yes. In Bucharest! Many bands, pretty many metal lovers gathered on June 11-14 at Cotroceni Open Air. Hard to take those days, for somebody without experience, and very welcomed by the audience. With lots of emotions, raining, not raining or… boiling, not boiling, with lots of dust, with fewer places where you can rest your legs, food quite expensive, but …. water at a very good price, these 4 days were quite a success despite the little inconveniences.
People who came from abroad to meet, to drink, to feel fine, to listen their music, METALHEAD Meeting 2015 opened, for sure, the season of the fests in 2015 in Romania.
Altogether … important is that the public felt good, the bands took the floor almost on time and it offered what they had best. “Thank you. It was a great festival. My wife and I traveled from Scandinavia (she’s Swedish and I am Danish) and we thoroughly enjoyed both the festival and your lovely city, in which we spent 8 wonderful days. I will recommend this festival and the city of Bucharest and indeed the whole country of Romania to all my friends back home. We met nothing but friendly people and can’t wait to come back another time,” said a foreign spectator who joined the festival.
All the bands were performing at height, revealing, Satyricon and Bloodbath, group and project that were for the first time in Romania. “Undoubtedly SATYRICON showed their mighty power and musical brilliance in one set. They will stay the best headliners forever. I was extremely impressed of their perfect performance and stage behavior. SATYRICON RULES !!!” said a spectator.
The Amorphis concert was expected, but I knew that it will present very good (less the delay, which caused some discontent among the public, they played only 50 minutes, but the organizers did well afterwards), Triptykon, another premiere, Primordial, also bands awaited by the audience! And it was great!
We thank the organizers for these concerts and we expect to learn from the little mistakes!
